In August, during the Made By Google launch event, the tech giant unveiled this exciting feature. At first, it was only available on the new Pixel 9 series or through the Gemini Advanced subscription on other devices.
But now, you can enjoy Gemini Live no matter what Android phone you have! Currently, it supports only English, but more languages are on the way. You can choose from 10 different voices, adding a personal touch to your conversations. Look for a sparkle icon next to the microphone and camera buttons at the bottom right of your screen—tapping it gives you access to Gemini Live.
Once you’re in, you'll notice a full-screen layout with buttons that resemble a phone call, making it feel familiar and comfortable. This feature allows for smooth, two-way conversations, and you can even use it hands-free while on the move, making it perfect for those busy moments when a quick chat is more convenient.
Gemini Live is more than just an upgraded Google Assistant; it's like having a brainstorming buddy by your side. You can bounce ideas around, have real-time discussions, and if something pops into your head while it’s talking, you can jump in and give new instructions. Plus, if you need to pause a conversation, you can easily come back to it later. It even works in the background or when your phone is locked, making it super flexible for your lifestyle.
