Google Gemini Introduces Two New Features: What They Are and How to Access Them

Google recently introduced two new features for its Gemini AI chatbot. The first is "Go Live with Gemini," which allows users to have natural, spoken conversations with the chatbot. The second feature gives Google Workspace users access to more detailed information on specific topics directly within their chat responses.

Google Gemini Introduces Two New Features: What They Are and How to Access Them

According to Google, “Gemini Live” is available in English and offers users a way to talk freely with the AI on their phones. You can brainstorm, learn, or practice speaking out loud, and the AI will respond in real-time. "Gemini adjusts to your conversation style, so you can interrupt, ask follow-up questions, or pick up where you left off without any hassle,” Google explained, noting that this feature is available in Gemini Advanced.

The goal behind these updates is to make the interaction with Gemini quicker and easier. As Google put it, "Sometimes it’s just faster to talk things through when you're brainstorming a business idea, trying to understand a tricky topic, or practicing for an important conversation.”

In a previous update, Google also mentioned that Gemini’s response speed has significantly improved, with the chatbot now offering replies up to 50% faster, thanks to upgrades in the system’s processing speed powered by the Gemini 1.5 Flash model.

For Google Workspace users, there's an additional perk. Those with a Gemini for Workspace add-on subscription can now get extra information on topics directly in their chat responses. Google says links to related content will appear at the end of paragraphs, helping users dive deeper into subjects.
