Biggest Update Coming to Microsoft Store

Microsoft has announced some major updates to the Microsoft Store. One of the biggest changes is the introduction of a brand-new downloads page, along with a search bar on the library page and a refreshed Microsoft Store badge.
Previously, the Microsoft Store library page didn't show apps you owned but hadn't downloaded, which could make you forget about apps you've paid for. The August 2024 update changes that, so now the library page will display both installed and owned apps by default.
Another useful addition is the search bar on the library page, making it easier to find specific apps without having to scroll through a long list. Microsoft is also moving the updates & downloads section from the library page to its own dedicated page.
After the update, when you visit the library page, you won't see updates & downloads at the top anymore. Instead, there will be a new downloads page in the left sidebar where you can manage your ongoing downloads and update your installed apps. Plus, each app update will now include version notes, so you can see what's new.
Lastly, Microsoft has tweaked the Microsoft Store badge to say “Download from the Microsoft Store” instead of “Get it from Microsoft,” giving users more confidence when downloading apps.
If you're a Windows Insider on the Canary or Dev channels, you can try out these new features now. For everyone else, Microsoft will roll out the update soon for Windows 11 version 22407.xxxx.x and higher.
