Apple's iPhone 16 Event Set for September 9th
Apple has announced that it will hold its much-anticipated iPhone 16 launch event on September 9th. The invitation, which features a glowing Apple logo with the tagline “It’s Glowtime,” hints at exciting new features, possibly related to Apple's upcoming AI technology, Apple Intelligence. Although this feature is likely to be introduced after the iPhone 16 release, it may arrive with the iOS 18.1 update.
The spotlight at the event will be on the iPhone 16 series, which is rumored to include a base model with a new camera layout and a Pro variant boasting larger screens, an improved secondary camera, and better cooling compared to the iPhone 15 Pro. All models are expected to come equipped with the powerful A18 chips, designed to support advanced AI capabilities, along with sufficient RAM to ensure smooth performance.
But the iPhone 16 won’t be the only highlight. Apple is also anticipated to introduce the Watch Series 10, which will likely feature a larger display and a slimmer design. Additionally, two new AirPods 4 models could be revealed, offering a refreshed design, a noise-canceling option, and a USB-C charging case.
We might also hear about MacOS Sequoia's release date during the event, though new M4-based Macs are expected to debut later in October.
How to Watch the iPhone 16 Event
The iPhone 16 event will be streamed live on September 9th at 1 PM. You can watch it on apple.com via most modern web browsers or through the Apple TV app. Apple has typically also streamed these events on YouTube, though a link for this year’s event hasn’t been posted yet.
